The Quiet Storm:
A Celebration of Women in Sport

While living in the Olympic Training Center, U.S. bobsled sisters Michelle and Alexandra Powe met some of the most amazing female athletes today. Each day they would sit and talk to athletes from all different sports in the OTC cafeteria about life, sport, training without corporate sponsorship, teammates, travel and the stigma (both good and bad) of being a female athlete. Without realizing it, the sisters were sitting a book.

It would not be until the following bobsled season that they began interviewing women such as Jackie Joyner Kersee, Bonnie Blair, Janet Evans, Mary Lou Retton, Peggy Fleming, Shannon Miller, Mia Hamm and more to create the book The Quiet Storm.

Titled after a three-time World Powerlifting Champion, the book embodies the spirit of the female athlete. The Q  uiet Storm: A Celebration of Women in Sport has been updated/revised to Atta Girl! A Celebration of Women in Sport.
